1. Overview
Metro University is committed to maintaining transparent and fair financial practices. This Refund Policy outlines the conditions under which students and applicants may request a refund of fees paid through our online payment portal or any other mode of payment.
2. Eligibility for Refund
A refund may be requested under the following circumstances:
- Duplicate or erroneous payment made by the student
- Withdrawal of admission on or before 31st October of the academic year
- Course cancellation initiated by the University
- Technical payment failure where the amount was debited but not credited to the University
3. Refund Schedule
The following refund schedule is applicable for admission fee payments:
- On or before 31st October: 100% refund of tuition and programme fees (Application Form Fee is non-refundable)
- After 31st October: No refund will be applicable under any circumstances
4. Non-Refundable Fees
The following fees are strictly non-refundable under any circumstances:
- Application Form Fee
- Processing and administrative charges
- Examination and assessment fees once the exam schedule has been published
- Library and lab fees after the commencement of the semester
5. Refund for Technical Payment Failures
In the event of a technical failure during an online transaction where the amount is debited from the student’s account but not received by the University, the amount will be automatically reversed by the payment gateway within 5 to 7 business days. If the reversal does not occur within this period, the student may raise a request at info@metrouniversity.in with proof of transaction.
6. Refund Process
To initiate a refund, the student or applicant must:
- Submit a written request to the Accounts Department via email at info@metrouniversity.in
- Provide their enrollment number, transaction ID, and amount paid
- Attach supporting documents (bank statement or payment receipt)
7. Refund Timeline
Upon approval of a valid refund request, the amount will be credited to the original payment source within 10 to 15 business days. For payments made via demand draft or cash, refunds will be issued via bank transfer (NEFT/RTGS).
