The Legacy of Metro Group
Founded by Dr (Prof.) Purshotam Lal, Padma Vibhushan, Padma Bhushan and Dr B. C. Roy National Awardee, Metro Group has grown from a single heart institute into a trusted healthcare and education network.
Today, the Group has a 28-year legacy, with 15 hospitals & institutes, 2,500+ beds, 1,200+ doctors, and 85 lakh+ patients treated. Metro University builds on this foundation, extending Metro’s commitment from healthcare delivery to education, research, and future-ready professional development.
Education has been part of Metro’s journey since 2010 through Metro College of Health Sciences & Research (MCHSR). With programmes across Nursing, Pharmacy and Paramedical disciplines, MCHSR strengthens Metro University’s academic foundation through structured learning, practical training, and healthcare-linked exposure.
