The School of Engineering and Technology at Metro University is designed to prepare students for a technology-driven future through strong academic foundations, applied learning and industry-oriented exposure. The School offers undergraduate and postgraduate programmes across engineering and computer applications, with a focus on computer science, information technology, artificial intelligence and machine learning, data science, cyber security, internet of things, robotics and application development.

Driving Innovation and Excellence

Prof. (Dr.) Dilkeshwar Pandey is a distinguished academician, researcher, and academic administrator with over 35 years of experience in higher education, research, academic leadership, quality assurance, and institutional development. As Dean, Engineering & Technology, he is committed to advancing academic excellence, innovation-driven education, interdisciplinary research, industry collaboration, and outcome-based learning in alignment with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 and global academic standards.

He holds a Ph.D. in Computer Vision from DCR University of Science and Technology, Murthal, Haryana; an M.E. in Computer Technology & Applications from Delhi College of Engineering (University of Delhi); and a B.E. with Distinction from BIT Sindri.

His academic and research expertise spans Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Computer Vision, Data Mining, Big Data Analytics, Database Systems, and Intelligent Computing. His research work has focused on the application of intelligent technologies in healthcare, agriculture, image processing, cybersecurity, and data analytics.

Throughout his distinguished career, Dr. Pandey has held several key leadership positions, including Professor, Head of Department, Principal (In-charge), Research Coordinator, and Academic Administrator. He has extensive experience in academic planning, curriculum development, accreditation, faculty development, research management, student mentoring, and institutional quality enhancement. He has actively contributed to NBA accreditation processes and the successful implementation of Outcome-Based Education (OBE) frameworks.

A prolific researcher and innovator, Dr. Pandey has published numerous research papers in reputed Science Citation Index (SCI), Science Citation Index Expanded (SCIE), Emerging Sources Citation Index (ESCI), and Scopus-indexed journals, as well as in leading international conferences. He is the holder of multiple patents in the domains of Artificial Intelligence, Internet of Things (IoT), Healthcare Technologies, Computer Vision, and Smart Systems. In addition, he has authored books, contributed scholarly book chapters, supervised postgraduate research scholars, chaired technical sessions at international conferences, delivered keynote, and invited lectures, and coordinated several AICTE-sponsored Faculty Development Programs.

His contributions to academia and education have been recognized through several honours, including the Teacher’s Excellence Award, Director’s Special Award, National Merit Scholarship, and recognition as a Top Performer in NPTEL Certification Programs.

Dr. Mayank Singh

Dr. Mayank Singh continues to drive Metro University’s vision of becoming a hub for cutting-edge research, interdisciplinary collaboration, and innovation-driven growth.

Dr. Singh is a distinguished academician and researcher with over 22 years of experience in academia, research, and the IT industry, he has established himself as a leading voice in computer science and engineering, particularly in the domains of Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Software Engineering, Cyber Security and Advanced Computing.

Dr. Singh has published more than 100 peer-reviewed research papers in reputed international journals, transactions, and conferences, making significant contributions to the advancement of knowledge in his field.

His research has been widely recognized for its practical impact and global relevance, and he has successfully supervised 14 M.Tech dissertations and 9 Ph.D. theses, nurturing the next generation of scholars and innovators. He has also played a pivotal role in organizing international conferences in collaboration with leading publishers such as IEEE, Springer, Taylor & Francis, and IOP, thereby fostering global academic exchange.

 

Beyond his publications, Dr. Singh serves as a Review Member of the Research Grants Council (RGC), Hong Kong, and as a reviewer for prestigious journals including IET Software, IEEE Communications, IEEE Sensors, and IET Wireless Sensor Networks. His active involvement as a Technical Program Committee Member for numerous IEEE and Springer conferences worldwide underscores his commitment to advancing research excellence.

With over two decades of experience spanning academia, research, and the IT industry, he has held senior leadership positions at premier institutions in India and abroad, including Professor & Head of CSE (AIML) at JSS University Noida, Dean (Research) at G. L. Bajaj Institute of Technology and Management, Greater Noida, and Director at Consilio Research Lab, Tallinn, Estonia. He also enriched his global academic exposure as a Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of KwaZulu-Natal, Durban, South Africa.

Her work spans both academia and industry, with contributions to research, funded project proposals, international publications, and consultancy projects in areas such as psychometric analytics, gas pipeline defect prediction, clinical documentation automation, and breast cancer detection using biomarker data.

Her teaching interests include Engineering Mathematics, Calculus, Linear Algebra, Differential Equations, Probability and Statistics, Stochastic Processes and Numerical Methods. She believes that meaningful learning begins with curiosity and encourages students to question concepts, think critically, and develop logical approaches to problem-solving. She strives to bridge mathematical theory with real-world engineering, scientific, and technological applications, enabling students to appreciate the practical relevance of mathematics.

Throughout his academic career, Dr. Prakash has demonstrated excellence in curriculum development, Outcome-Based Education (OBE), faculty mentoring, research supervision, and quality assurance initiatives.

Dr. Prakash has played a pivotal role in NBA accreditation, contributing significantly to the successful accreditation of engineering programs.
