About Chairman
Metro University is founded under the visionary leadership of Dr. (Prof.) Purshotam Lal, an internationally acclaimed interventional cardiologist dedicated to the service of humanity, especially the poor and the needy.
Journey
A Pioneer in Medicine and Education Recognised as the Father of Interventional Cardiology in India, Dr. Lal has introduced over 20 groundbreaking cardiology procedures in the country for the first time. A recipient of the Padma Vibhushan and Padma Bhushan, he has spent 35 years revolutionising healthcare through Metro Group of Hospitals, now a network of 12 hospitals serving over 85 lakh patients.

Dr. Lal’s lifelong commitment to innovation and service to humanity is the foundation upon which this institution is built.
