Eligibility Criteria

Mandatory subjects | Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics (PCM) - all three compulsory |
Minimum marks | 60% aggregate in PCM subjects (55% for SC / ST / PwD) |
Entrance exam | Valid JEE Main score OR Metro University Entrance Test (MET) |
Age | Minimum 17 years as on 1st October of admission year. No upper age limit. |
Selection | JEE Main / MET score → Counselling → Document verification → Seat allotment |
Frequently Asked Questions
Is JEE Main mandatory for admission?
A. No. Metro University accepts both JEE Main and its own MET. MET is conducted in January and May and is a fully recognised
route
Can I change my specialisation after admission?
A. Specialisation is selected at end of Year I. A one-time change is permitted up to Semester III with Dean’s approval, subject to
availability.
Is the internship compulsory?
A. Yes – 6 to 8 weeks between Year II and Year III. The T&P cell facilitates industry placements; students may also arrange independent
placements.
Can I earn credits via SWAYAM or NPTEL MOOCs?
A. Yes – up to 20% of elective credits through approved MOOCs of at least 8 weeks with a proctored examination. Prior Dean’s approval
required.
