What is Metro University?
Metro University, Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh, has been established under the Uttar Pradesh Private Universities Act, 2019 (U.P. Act No. 12 of 2019) and notified by the Department of Higher Education, Government of Uttar Pradesh, through Official Gazette Notification No. 664/70-1-2026-20(6)/2021 dated 30 April 2026. The University has been established with a vision to deliver multidisciplinary, industry-oriented education that integrates academic excellence, research, innovation and practical learning.
The University is founded on the enduring legacy of the Metro Healthcare Group under the visionary leadership of Dr. (Prof.) Purshotam Lal, Chancellor of Metro University, Founder and Chairman of Metro Group of Hospitals, and one of India’s most distinguished interventional cardiologists. Widely regarded as the Father of Interventional Cardiology in India, Dr. Lal has over 35 years of clinical experience and has pioneered more than 20 interventional cardiology procedures in the country. His outstanding contributions to medicine and healthcare have been recognised with India’s highest civilian honours, including the Padma Vibhushan, Padma Bhushan, and the prestigious Dr. B. C. Yes. Metro University’s academic programmes are designed in alignment with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, with a strong emphasis on multidisciplinary learning, skill development, experiential education, employability, innovation, and ethical professional conduct. What facilities are available on campus?

Does Metro University have hostel facilities?
The on-campus hostel is currently under construction. In the meantime, the University has partnered with nearby hostel facilities to provide accommodation for students. From next year, students will be able to stay in the University’s on-campus hostel.
How can I apply for admission to Metro University?
Students can apply online by selecting their preferred programme, checking the eligibility criteria, submitting the application form, paying the application fee, and completing the required admission process.
What documents will I need while applying?
Applicants are required to submit their academic mark sheets, identity proof, passport-size photograph, and other relevant certificates. Depending on the programme, additional documents may also be required.
Do I need to appear for an entrance exam?
Admission requirements vary from one programme to another. Some programmes consider national-level entrance examination scores as applicable like JEE, CUET, CAT, MAT, XAT, etc., while others may have their own admission process.
Can I visit the campus before taking admission?
Yes, prospective students and their families are welcome to visit the campus to explore our facilities and interact with the admissions team. We recommend scheduling your visit in advance to ensure a well-organized experience. This also provides an opportunity to meet with the Dean and faculty members, gain insights into the academic programs, and better understand the academic planning and learning journey.
Is there an application fee?
Yes. The application fee is ₹1,100 and is payable while submitting the online application.
